SHILLONG, June 8: The State Youth Wing of the Voice of the People Party (VPP) on Monday sought clarification from the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills over the recruitment process for the post of Sectional Assistant, alleging that the “unusually swift” announcement of results has raised concerns among candidates.
In a representation submitted to the Deputy Commissioner, the VPP Youth Wing noted that the written examination was conducted on May 23, 2026, and the results were declared within a few days. The party claimed this rapid publication has led to doubts among aspirants regarding the transparency and credibility of the evaluation process.
Seeking greater accountability, the party requested the district administration to explain the basis of the results and provide reasons for the quick declaration. It also sought specific details of the recruitment exercise, including the total number of candidates who appeared, as well as the names, roll numbers, and marks obtained by successful candidates.
The representation, signed by State Youth Wing president Marbud Dkhar, urged the Deputy Commissioner to provide a prompt response to address the suspicions of the candidates. The party added that transparency in the selection process is essential to maintain the confidence of job seekers and uphold public trust in government institutions.
