Anticipation is growing for Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, with the recently released trailer generating significant buzz ahead of its July 3, 2026 release.
Internationally acclaimed action director Craig Macrae, who worked on the film, praised both actresses for their dedication and rigorous preparation for the demanding action sequences.
Macrae singled out Alia Bhatt’s work ethic, describing it as “absolutely incredible” and saying her commitment extended beyond action training to fully developing her character.
He noted that her willingness to go above and beyond expectations would result in an on-screen presence that audiences may not anticipate.
He also lauded Sharvari’s efforts, saying both actresses invested immense time in physical conditioning, stunt work, and skills training, something he described as rare in the industry.
The trailer reveals Alia playing Sita, a character whose journey draws inspiration from the mythological figure.
Rather than waiting to be rescued, Sita fights back and shapes her own destiny. Sharvari plays a woman whom Sita initially distrusts before the two join forces on a dangerous mission.
The film also features Bobby Deol as the main antagonist and Anil Kapoor in a pivotal role. Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is set for a worldwide theatrical release on July 3, 2026. (ANI)
