SHILLONG, June 25: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Thursday announced that Meghalaya will replicate key features of Telangana’s Integrated Command and Control Centre (IC&CC), calling it a benchmark for technology-driven governance.
After visiting the state-of-the-art facility in Hyderabad, Sangma said the centre exemplifies how real-time data, advanced technology, and seamless inter-departmental coordination can transform public service delivery and emergency response.
“The success of the IC&CC lies not only in the advanced technology deployed but also in the robust institutional framework that enables different government departments to work in close coordination,” he observed.
Sangma described the Telangana model as one of the finest in the country and stated that Meghalaya would study its operational framework in detail to adopt the best practices. He believes this initiative will significantly strengthen departmental coordination, enhance responsiveness, and leverage technology for the benefit of citizens.
“Learning from successful governance models across the country remains an important part of the state’s efforts to build a more efficient and responsive administration,” the Chief Minister added.
