NEW DELHI, July 1: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s personal role in supporting peace, stability, and regional cooperation during their telephonic conversation.
According to the Embassy of Iran in India, during the conversation, Pezeshkian expressed his satisfaction with the successful planning and hosting of the BRICS Energy Ministers’ Meeting in India.
President Pezeshkian voiced hope that cooperation and engagement between the Iran and India within multilateral frameworks such as BRICS would continue to expand.
Emphasising Iran’s commitment to strengthening and deepening relations with India, Pezeshkian said, “The relations between our two countries are founded on a long-standing historical legacy and mutual respect. There is tremendous potential to enhance cooperation in political, economic, commercial, transit, and international affairs.
