RGU felicitates VC, faculty members for recognition among world’s top 5% scientists

Guwahati, July 10: The Assam Royal Global University (RGU) has felicitated its
Vice Chancellor and three more faculty members for their remarkable achievement of being
recognised among the Top 5% Scientists globally by SciRank Global Registry.
The RGU fraternity extended its heartfelt congratulations to Prof. (Dr.) Alak Kumar
Buragohain, Vice Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Anupam Chatterjee, Dean & Professor, Royal
School of Bio-Sciences; Dr. Amlan Das, Professor, Associate Dean – Research &
Development and Coordinator, Indian Knowledge System Cell; and Dr. Faizuddin Ahmed,
Assistant Professor (Research) for their outstanding contributions to research and academic
excellence, according to a Press release.
In recognition of this prestigious accomplishment and their exceptional contribution to
advancing knowledge and innovation, the University felicitated the researchers and awarded
each of them a cash reward as a mark of appreciation and encouragement for their continued
pursuit of impactful research.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Diganta Munshi, Registrar of the University
acknowledged that this global recognition reflects the strong research ecosystem fostered at
RGU and stands as an inspiration for faculty members and students to pursue excellence in
research, innovation, and knowledge creation.
Prof. Munshi expressed immense pride in the achievements of the researchers, stating that
their dedication, scholarly contributions, and commitment towards academic excellence have
brought laurels to The Assam Royal Global University and the entire Northeast region. He
conveyed its best wishes to the honoured researchers for continued success and many more
milestones in their future endeavours.
