Dulquer Salmaan’s #DQ41 titled Sri Sri
The makers of director Ravi Nelakuditi’s upcoming romantic entertainer, featuring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, on Friday announced that the film had now been titled Sri Sri. Taking to his social media timelines, actor Dulquer Salmaan wrote, ‘Love will feel a little extra special with Sri Sri. It may be recalled that the makers of the film had welcomed well known Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu onboard the unit of the film in February this year. The film, which went on floors in August last year, features Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde in the lead. (IANS)
Naruto makers launch worldwide casting search for lead actors
The makers of the live-action Naruto have launched a worldwide casting search to find its three lead actors who will play the roles of Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura in the film, reported Variety. The adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto’s classic manga is backed by Lionsgate. The casting search will fill the roles of Team 7: Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura. Additional casting for supporting roles will follow. Destin Daniel Cretton, the filmmaker behind Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is writing and directing the project. Game of Thrones fame stars board Alien: Earth Season 2 lead cast
Alien: Earth Season 2 has added three new cast members to its ensemble cast. Game of Thrones stars Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell, and Jerome Flynn have all joined the second season of the series, reported Variety. They will join other cast members, including Peter Dinklage, as well as returning star Sydney Chandler and fellow cast members Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Babou Ceesay, Samuel Blenkin, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, David Rysdahl, Moe Bar-El, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, and more. Reboot of 90s family adventure movie Free Willy in works
Warner Bros is developing a reboot of the 90s family adventure movie Free Willy, reported Variety. The makers have onboarded Mary-Margaret Kunze and Jade Halley Bartlett to write a screenplay for the new movie. Released in 1993, Free Willy, is about an orphaned boy who befriends a captive orca. The movie has spawned multiple theatrical sequels, an animated television series, and a direct-to-video continuation. The movie, which starred an orca named Keiko, also dispelled myths about the killer whale and inspired activism around their captivity. (ANI)
