TURA, July 23: The Tura Based Church Leaders’ Forum has expressed profound concern over reported instances of the 2026 NEET paper leak and irregularities in the CBSE on-screen marking process.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the forum said these lapses have caused a serious erosion of public confidence in India’s examination and evaluation systems. It noted that the National Testing Agency (NTA) is duty-bound to conduct secure, fair, and transparent exams, and that the leaks have cast a shadow of uncertainty over the future of millions of students.
The forum also highlighted concerns regarding the CBSE evaluation process, asserting that every student is entitled to an assessment system that is accurate and reliable.
“The Government of India bears both a constitutional and moral responsibility to safeguard the integrity of India’s public examination system,” the statement read. “We call for a thorough, independent, and time-bound investigation into the reported NEET leaks and CBSE irregularities. Those responsible for security breaches or administrative failures must be prosecuted and held fully accountable.”
Additionally, the forum expressed concern over reports of force being used against students and youth organisations protesting peacefully at Jantar Mantar. It stated that in a democracy, the rights to assembly and dissent are fundamental and must be respected.
The forum urged the Prime Minister to address the nation and initiate urgent structural reforms to restore transparency and integrity to the country’s examination systems. It also called upon the Union Minister for Education to accept moral responsibility for the crisis and take corrective measures, asserting that the future of India’s youth must not be compromised by institutional failures.
