Ahaan Pandey’s next YRF movie to release in next year
After the success of Saiyaara, producer Aditya Chopra has locked March 26, 2027 for the next Ahaan Pandey release, to be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The untitled film will feature Pandey alongside Sharvari, Aaishvary Thackeray & Bobby Deol. The romantic action drama has been extensively shot in the UK. Zafar and YRF have previously worked on hit projects such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Saiyaara, which released in July last year, became an instant hit with its music and fresh pairing of Pandey and Aneet Padda. It was directed by Mohit Suri. (PTI)
Bon Jovi abruptly ends concert due to sinus infection
Rock band Bon Jovi’s show at Madison Square Garden came to an early end on Thursday night after its frontman, singer Jon Bon Jovi, revealed he was suffering from a sinus infection in the middle of the performance, reported Variety. About 90 minutes into the set, Bon Jovi told the crowd that he would have to stop the show as he wasn’t feeling his best. ‘I haven’t talked to anybody about anything, but don’t throw away your ticket stubs. ‘I’m going to figure something out, OK? Just hold onto them, we’ll figure out how to reschedule. But I’m going to have to cool it for the night,’ said Jon Bon Jovi in a fan video as quoted by Variety. He ended the show by saying, “I’ll see you again soon.” (ANI)
Resident Evil trailer released: Zach Cregger unveils new horror reboot
Sony Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for Resident Evil, director Zach Cregger’s new adaptation of the iconic Capcom video game franchise, ahead of the filmmaker’s Hall H appearance at Comic-Con. The film, produced by Columbia Pictures and Constantin Film in association with TriStar Pictures, is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 18. The trailer introduces Bryan, played by Austin Abrams, a medical courier on his way to deliver a package to Raccoon City General Hospital. His routine assignment turns into a desperate fight for survival as a single terrifying night descends into chaos. Resident Evil is scheduled to release in theatres on September 18. (ANI)
Extraction 3 goes into production
The production on Netflix’s Extraction 3, featuring Hollywood stars Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, and Golshifteh Farahani, has officially begun. Confirming the same on Instagram, Chris Hemsworth shared pictures from the sets, featuring himself with Elba and director Sam Hargrave. ‘E3 here we go!’ Hemsworth wrote. Hargrave, who previously directed the first two ‘Extraction’ films, returns to helm the third chapter from a screenplay by ‘Citadel’ and ‘Tyrant’ writer David Weil. The original ‘Extraction’ debuted on Netflix in 2020, becoming one of the streaming platform’s biggest film releases at the time. It was followed by Extraction 3 in 2023. (ANI)
Ebenezer trailer: Depp surprises fans in Scrooge makeover
In a much-awaited return to the big screen, Hollywood star Johnny Depp has gone full Ebenezer mode! The much-awaited trailer of Johnny Depp’s upcoming film Ebenezer has been unveiled, presenting the actor as the Master of Misfits before cutting to Depp’s Scrooge saying, ‘It’s good to be back.’ The trailer briefly teases Ebenezer with his on-screen family, including Daisy Ridley as Emily Cratchit and Sam Claflin as Fred. The infamous Christmas grouch Ebenezer Scrooge is also shown being tormented by the terrifying spirits of Christmas. It is set to hit theatres on November 13. (ANI)
