Shillong, July 27: The Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Frontier, will organise the Spandan League 2026 under the Khelo India initiative, with the aim of promoting grassroots sports, encouraging youth participation and strengthening community engagement through sporting activities.
The league will be conducted by BSF battalions at various venues across West Garo Hills and East Khasi Hills, providing a platform for young athletes to display their talent, discipline, teamwork and sporting abilities.Competitions will be held in football, volleyball and basketball, with players and teams from different parts of Meghalaya and local communities expected to participate. The tournament is intended to nurture emerging talent while offering athletes the opportunity to compete in a structured and competitive environment.Ahead of the event, the BSF Meghalaya Frontier will roll out a promotional campaign across its social media platforms. The campaign will include the official announcement of the league, the unveiling of its logo and theme, venue updates and match-related promotional content to generate interest.
