Shillong cantt poll results out

SHILLONG: The results of the election of the Shillong Cantonment Board was declared on Monday.
The candidates who were elected Ward Commissioners are Parasmal Bothra (Ward No I), Neelam Gurung (Ward II), Shaima Anjum (Ward III), Vikash Gupta (Ward IV), Gaurav Tamang (Ward V), Pradeep Kumar Rana (Ward VI) and MD Meraj Khan (Ward VII).
The election which was held on Sunday was conducted by District Magistrate TSR Marak as Returning Officer.
The polling percentage was highest in Ward I with 79.70 per cent turnout followed by Ward V (79.43 per cent), Ward II (73.34 per cent), Ward III (68.42 per cent), Ward VI (66.41 per cent), Ward VII (60.31 per cent) and Ward IV 59 per cent.
