SHILLONG: The NPP’s Bajengdoba Block Committee has condemned the “unconstitutional decision of the state government to extend the term of the GHADC for another six months.”
In an executive meeting of the Block Committee held recently at Bajengdoba, the NPP demanded that the Council elections should be held immediately.
The meeting was attended by NPP’s North Garo Hills president, Timothy D Shira and the party’s State vice president, John Manner M Marak among others.
The meeting also decided that the party would look to enroll at least 15,000 members this year to revamp its existing primary units.
