SHILLONG: The Home (Police) department has promoted several senior IPS officers who are currently serving in the different capacities in the State police.
As per the notification issued by the Home (Police) department on January 9, Inspector General of Police (CID) BR Rana has been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP).
Deputy Inspector General of Police A Sunn has been made IG (Law and Order) While DIG (CID) H Marbaniang has been promoted as IG (CID).
MLP 1st Battallion commandant AR Mawthoh and Police Training School principal SS Kynjing are promoted to the selection grade of IPS.
Both Mawthoh and Kynjing will continue to serve in the same postings.
