SHILLONG: The proscribed HNLC has issued the customary Republic Day boycott call by calling a 24-hour shut down.
The 24-hour shutdown will be effective from 5 pm of January 25 till 5 pm of January 26 in the whole of Khasi and Jaintia Hills region, the outfit’s publicity secretary Sainkupar Nongtraw said in a statement on Thursday.
The Church-goers, milkmen, media persons and patients have been exempted from the purview of the bandh.
