Bhopal: BJP on Tuesday announced that it will turn the city into a smart, digital and green place if voted to power in the civic polls here scheduled on January 31.
“Bhopal will be turned into smart, global, digital, clean and green city,” Madhya Pradesh Higher and Technical Education Minister Umashanker Gupta told reporters, while releasing the party’s manifesto for the local civic body elections.
Underlining the need for smooth traffic movement in the city, the manifesto promises world class light metro service with the help of private partnership.
The manifesto says that a blue print will be formed to provide better basic facilities to people of the city in the next 30 years under which over-bridges would be constructed.
The BJP has a plan to legalise unauthorised colonies in Bhopal, Gupta said, adding that the LED lights and solar energy will be promoted in the city. (PTI)
