NGT ban violation

On January 28, East Khasi Hills District Administration conducted mobile checking at Mawryngkneng Junction (EKH) and detected forty-nine coal laden trucks without valid vehicle documents. The vehicles were impounded.

Abuse & threat

Inspector Nicky Thapa lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on January 26 around 9:30 pm, one vehicle (ML-05G-9756) was found parking in a No Parking Zone between Vishal Mega Mart and MTC Bus Depot, Police Bazar, Shillong. On being asked to remove the vehicle the driver Mawlynnai Marbaniang verbally abused him and refused to comply. On being taken to Sadar PS the wife of the driver threatened him.
In a counter FIR at Shillong Sadar PS Jennifer Laloo complaint that on January 26 around 9.30 pm, her husband Mawlynnai Marbaniang was assaulted by a Police personnel near Suruchi Food Stall, MTC Road, Police Bazar, Shillong.

Rape

Biolin L Nongpiur lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS on January 25 around 6.30 pm one Shankar Das allegedly raped a sixteen-year-old differently abled girl in a vehicle.
One lady lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on January 23, one David allegedly raped her twelve-year-old daughter at Iongkaluh (EJH).

Forgery

Dr. Lumlang N War, Retd. District Tuberculosis Officer, Shillong, lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that four medical certificates were issued to one Joyous Dura during 2013 and 2014 by forging his signatures.
