Centre approves new tourist circuit in Arunachal

Itanagar:State Tourism Minister Pema Khandu on Saturday informed in the Assembly that the Union Ministry of Tourism has sanctioned Margarita – Jairampur – Nampong- Manmaw through Pangsu Pass tourist circuit to attract more outside visitors into the state
Replying to a question raised by Paknga Bage, the minister informed that with the approval of new circuit, which was sanctioned on January 22, the state now has 12 tourist routes. .
Besides, the Union Mini-stry has extended the Mar-garita – Mao – Namdhapa tourist circuit to Vijaynagar, he further informed on the concluding day of the state legislative assembly.
For hassle free entry of foreign visitors in Aruna-chal Pradesh, Union Home Ministry has delegated powers to issue Protected Area Permit (PAP) to the secretary Tourism, GoAP. The PAP is for the duration of 30 days, he informed.
Recently the Home Ministry has made some relaxation on the arrival of foreign tourist in the state, he said.However, for the domestic tourist arrival, recently the state government has authorised district tourism officers to issue inner-line permits (ILPs) for duration of 30 days validity within the state. Beside that the state government has availed the facility of issuing online ILP which has been executed by the department of IT, Khandu said.(UNI)
