Kohima: The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has urged all Nagas not to tolerate such disgraceful act perpetrated on the student community and termed the kidnapping as a ‘felonious act’ where anti-social elements have started targetting even school children.

In a release here on Wednesday, the NSF has termed the felonious act as unbecoming in a Christian society like Nagaland where anti-social elements have started targetting even the innocent children to satisfy their greed for money.

It further called upon all Nagas not to tolerate such disgraceful act perpetrated on the students’ community.

The NSF said it is committed to fight such corruption and would co-operate with the investigating agencies to book the culprits at the earliest.

The federation maintained that it was committed to fight such corruption and would cooperate with the investigating agencies to bring to those culprits to book soon.

In a separate release, the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) had condemned the abduction of 9-year old student by unidentified local youth.

The Union said the kidnappers should be arrested at any cost otherwise they would continue to target any of the citizens.

It appealed to the district administration and police to apprehend the culprits at the earliest, warning that the DNSU cannot just remain a mere spectator.

The DNSU would carry out its own course of action if compelled by the situation for the interest of students’ community and public in general. (UNI)
