Annual meet
The Nongstoiñ Diocese Laymen Federation’s ‘grand annual meet’ will be held at Mawkyrwat Parish on Sunday. The ninth meet of the Federation will be held under the theme, “the harvest is plentiful but the reapers are few.” The event also coincides with the silver jubilee celebrations of Mawkyrwat Parish Laymen Association. Over 4000 people are expected to attend the meet.
Programme cancelled
Supreme Court Judge SK Mukhopadhyay will be unable to visit Shillong on February 8 resulting in the cancellation of the flagging off programme of the mobile van at the High Court premises. However, the Legal Care and Support Centre as well as the building of the NEHU Law department will be inaugurated by the Chief Justice (Acting) High Court of Meghalaya on February 9 at 9.40 am.
