JOWAI: Several Jaintia Hills-based pressure groups have jointly announced an indefinite night road blockade in the entire Jaintia Hills from February 25 protesting the state government’s failure to make the inquiry report into Mookhep firing public.
The indefinite night road blockade will be effective from 7pm to 5am (next day), sources said on Thursday. The agitating groups are Jaintia Students’ Movement (JSM), Ri Jaintia Youth Federation (RJYF), the Meghalaya People United Front (MPUF), the Hynniewtrep National Youth Front- East Jaintia Zone (HNYF-EJZ) and the Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM-JU).
