Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Government has resolved to immortalise the contributions of eminent personalities who served the people in various capacities as Chief Ministers and Ministers in their public life.
Chief Minister Nabam Tuki on Tuesday said in a statement that this would be in recognition of the services rendered by the departed leaders who represented their respective communities and region in the government and contributed in the development of the state and welfare of the people.
“We feel the need to remember the services of our past leaders and immortalise them in our daily lives,” he said.
As per the decision the upcoming Government Law College at Jotte near Itanagar will be named after Jarbom Gamlin, former Chief Minister, while the ITI at Kanubari in Longding district will be named after former minister Newlai Tingkhatra. (PTI)
