SHILLONG: A GNLA cadre and three others including a girl were arrested by the police here on Saturday.
According to police, based on intelligence inputs on the presence of GNLA cadres in the city, surveillance was mounted in commercial areas.
The special cell of East Khasi Hills picked up a GNLA cadre identified as Jasang Ch Marak ( 29) alias Akilang from Keating road in the afternoon.
The cadre hails from Bolkingree, Kusumkol, East Garo Hills.
The cadre was accompanied by Huebirth R Sangma (35),an overground worker of GNLA from Shallang ,West Khasi Hills, Charles D Shira,( 26), a surrendered ANLCA cadre of Dalbot Challang, West Khasi Hills and a 17 year old girl hailing from Dainadubi.
Interrogation is being conducted by the police to ascertain their purpose of stay in Shillong.
