SHILLONG: ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, observed National Science Day on Feb 28 with the theme ‘Science for Nation Building’ in collaboration with NERIE, NCERT, Shillong.
Various programmes like essay competition, speech competition and visits to Biotech, Animal Health, Entomology and NICRA laboratories were arranged for over 70 students from seven schools of Shillong.
Among those who addressed the gathering included Dr. S.V. Ngachan, Director, ICAR, Prof. A. Sukumar, Principal, North East Regional Institute of Education, NCERT, Shillong and Dr. N.S. Azad Thakur, Head, National Resource Management Division.
