Seven truckers held for NGT order violation

SHILLONG: Police recently arrested seven drivers for illegally transporting coal in violation of the NGT order in North Garo Hills.
Police informed that on Feb 26, it detected seven vehicles – AS-18C-5588, ML-09A-5049, AS-01C-8815, AS-18C-3089, ML-07C-8555, AS-01-EC-4367, AS-25-AC-4477 – driven by Mantu Rabha, Md. Mintu Ali, Md. Sahzamal Ali, Jaynal Abbuddin, Md. Nassir Ali, Mridul Khaklary and Chandro Boro, respectively, transporting coal in violation of the NGT order at Dobu.
They were arrested and subsequently released on bail.
