SIM cards seized

On March 4, South Garo Hills Police conducted raids on shops selling SIM cards illegally. Police seized 20 BSNL SIM cards, 51 Airtel SIM cards and 4 Vodafone SIM cards from Baghmara Bazar (SGH), 24 Aircel SIM cards and 8 Vodafone SIM cards from Jadigittim Bazar (SGH). However, the sellers managed to escape.

NGT ban violation

On March 4, Police detected one coal laden truck (AS-01-DD-0113) driven by Telestar Kharbani from Siejlieh, Nongstoin (WKH) while it was transporting coal in violation of the NGT Order.
Burglar apprehended
On March 6 at around 4.30 am, residents of Laitumkhrah, Shillong apprehended and handed over to Police, one Rohan Sangma while he was attempting to commit burglary in the house of Ngakhu Vaiphei at Bomfyle Road, Lower New Colony, Laitumkhrah.

Accident

On March 5 at around 3.45 pm, an accident took place between one motorcycle (ML-05H-5483) ridden by Laldinpuia Verte (18 yrs), one bus (ML-05C-4957) driven by Munna Masi and one local taxi (ML-05M-4537) driver by Flymoonstar Pathaw at Madanrting, Shillong. As a result, the bike rider and driver of taxi sustained injuries and were removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

One knocked down

On March 5 at around 7 pm, one Maruti car (ML-04B-0112) driven by Anderson Langstieh (38 yrs) knocked down Mitra Sunar (42 yrs) at Rilbong Point, Shillong. Victims sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital.

Mobile snatched

Miss Hoideikim Sitihou lodged a complaint that on March 5 at around 12.30 am, one unidentified miscreant armed with iron rod, snatched one mobile phone valued around Rs. 13,700 at Lummawrie, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
