SHILLONG: The North Eastern Service, All India Radio, Shillong in collaboration with the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council will organise a seminar on Umkhrah River: Then and Now (Ka Wahumkhrah Mynnor Bad Mynta) on Tuesday from 11 am onwards at Community Hall, Jaiaw Shyiap Lumpyllon, Shillong.
KHADC Chief Executive Member Adelbert Nongrum will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Retd. Principal, Union Christian College and former MP Dr. B.R. Kharlukhi, retd. professor of Khasi Department, NEHU, Dr. M.B. Jyrwa and an environment engineer of the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board will be the resource persons.
The programme will be followed by distribution of prizes to winners of the self-composed Poetry competition on Wahumkhrah.
