JOWAI: A local court here on Wednesday sentenced one One Brom Pohleng of Moophlang village to life imprisonment for killing his wife Blit Dkhar a few years ago. The court while accepting the crime committed by Pohleng sentenced the accused to life imprisonment under Section 302 IPC. The Judge also convicted another person identified as Meshaibha Siangshai, guilty of ‘culpable homicide not amounting to murder’ under section 304. He was awarded seven-year jail term.
