Assam Rifles Commanders’ meet held

SHILLONG: The Assam Rifles Commanders’ Conference 2015 commenced at Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles, Shillong on Monday.  The conference, chaired by Lt. Gen Ramesh Kumar Rana, Director General of Assam Rifles, was attended by nominated Formation Commanders, Commandants of Assam Rifles Battalions and Staff from the entire Force.
Representatives from Army Headquarters and Kolkata based Headquarters, Eastern Command were also invited.
The Assam Rifles Commanders Conference is an annual event, aimed at analyzing the operational, training, welfare and administrative issues with a view to ensure highest degree of efficiency of the Force.
The conference provides a platform for the Field Commanders to project their view and these inputs are discussed and decisions arrived at, with a view to further give a fillip to the capabilities of the oldest Para Military Force of the Nation to make it the most potent instrument of National Policy.
Lt. Gen. Rana while addressing the gathering, congratulated all Commanders & other ranks of Assam Rifles for the outstanding performance of the Force and exhorted all participants to carry out a sincere appraisal of operational and administrative issues for long term melioration of the Force.
