Mizoram passes vote-on-account

Aizawl:Mizoram Legislative Assembly on Monday unanimously passed the vote-on-account for April to July, 2015 amounting to Rs 3,277. 22 crore.The Assembly also passed the Supplementary Demands for the current fiscal (2014-2015) amounting to Rs 2,154.90 crore and also additional grants for regularization of the excess expenditure during 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 amounting to Rs 469.38 lakh and Rs 59.35 lakh respectively.He said that he was unable to present the regular budget this time as the Planning Commission which used to allocate plan fund for the states was abolished and replaced by the NITI Aayog which was also yet to make any plan allocation for Mizoram.
The regular budget would be prepared as soon as the state government gets a clearer picture on the functioning of the NITI Aayog and after receiving detailed guidelines under the recommendations of the Fourteenth Finance Commission. (PTI)
