AAP expells Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan from natl executive council

New Delhi: In a major development in the national council meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chaired by its convenor and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, senior leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav were on Saturday ousted from the national council.
According to sources, a 200-member national council voted against the rebel duo.
Confusion ran all through outside the meeting venue at Kapashera, on the outskirts of national capital, where scores of volunteers had gathered.In an emotional outburst,  Yadav said the democracy has been stifled in the meeting and all democratic voices were muzzled brazenly.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Mr Bhusan.
They said chaos prevailed in the meeting. Some of their supporters accused the AAP leadership of using muscle power and the duo were belaboured too.Kejriwal left the National Council meeting soon after delivering his speech.Earlier, Mr Yadav sat on a dharna outside the venue with AAP National Council members, who were denied entry to the meeting.Yadav said many of the members had been denied entry inside the venue for the NC meeting, despite having all the documents.
