SHILLONG: To deal with neurological cases with a right earnest in their day-to-day practice, doctors of Shillong who are connected with Nero science, Nero pathology, Nero surgery etc formed a forum – Shillong Nero Club — recently. The objective of form is to keep the members abreast with the latest neurological diseases by holding periodic CMEs on topics of common interest and to hold discussion on interesting and challenging cases.
The Club was formed Dr C Deniella (HoD Radiology, NEIGRIHMS) as president, Dr SR Shrama (HoD Neurology, NEIGRIHMS ) as vice president and Dr Arindom Kakati (HoD, Neurosurgery, NEIGRIHMS) as general secretary.
A scientific committee was formed with Dr Bernard Lyngdoh, Dr Akash Handique (Associate prof, Radiology, NEIGRIHMS) and Dr M Hussain.
The first meeting of the committee was held on March 28.
