SHILLONG: With an aim to acquaint the students and the community in business and entrepreneurship, the department of Management & Commerce Studies, Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) organized a Business Consultancy programme at the District Library, Mynthong, Jowai on Thursday.
The event sponsored by the NSS, MLCU unit, was well attended not just by the students of the university but by school and college students of Jowai.
The resource persons gave informative presentations on entrepreneurship and the different schemes and benefits made to budding entrepreneurs by the state and Central governments respectively.
The resource persons included Sanjay Bose, Superintendent, Khadi and Village Industries Commission KVIC, GS Langstieh, Functional Manager, Directorate of Commerce & Industries Centre (DCIC), Jowai and Wanrap Chyne, owner of Van Rap Tours and Travel Agency, Police Bazaar, Shillong.
