Modi embarks on tour to Europe, Canada

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will focus on co-operation and investment in sectors like energy, security and Make in India programmes during his tour to France, Germany and Canada from April 10-16, to create more job opportunities for the youth. This will be Modi’s first visit to the European countries and Canada after becoming the Prime Minister.
On the first leg of the tour, Modi will reach Paris, capital of France on April 9.
The Prime Minister will meet French President Francois Hollande and a host of other dignitaries during his three-day tour. He is expected to discuss Defence deals, especially of acquiring the 126 French Rafale Medium Multi-role Combat Aircraft (M-MRCA) and nuclear deal, as well.
The Prime Minister will visit the headquarters of Airbus in Toulouse, which is widely known as the manufacturing hub of the country’s French civil and military aviation sector and some high-tech industrial units outside Paris.
On April 12 afternoon, Modi will reach Hannover of Germany, where he is expected to inaugurate the Hannover Messe 2015 Fair the next day, along with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.Modi will then go to Berlin, where he will have a bilateral with Merkel.
The Prime Minister will be in Canada from April 14 to 16. (UNI)
