SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills district administration has asked the SDO of Sohra Civil Sub-division to carry out hearings related to enrolment of voters in the respective villages rather than at the office of the SDO.
“We have nothing to hide. Hence the hearing can be held in the interior areas instead of the office,” East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal said.
Earlier on Thursday, the KSU and FKJGP halted the enrolment process carried out by the SDO Sohra on the suspicion that dubious people were being enrolled.
