SHILLONG: A hearing of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Tribunal to examine the extension of ban on Assam-based NDFB was held at Orchid Lake Resort, Umiam on Saturday.
Official sources said that several SPs from Assam deposed before the Tribunal stressing the need to extend the ban. Four more SPs and the Joint Secretary (Home), Assam, will depose before the Tribunal on Sunday.
It was on Nov 23, 2002 that NDFB was banned by the Union government.
