Theft
Former legislator Manas Chaudhuri lodged a complaint that on April 12 at around 3.15 am, unknown miscreants stole cash Rs. 2,000 – and silver ornaments valued around Rs. 18,000 from his residence at Rilbong.
One killed in accident
On April 11 at around 9 pm, one dumper truck (A/F) driven by Redhiran Baishya (33) fell into a gorge at Tyngam Masi, Lad Mawphlang, Sohra (EKH). As a result, the driver sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong where the Medical Officer declared him brought dead. Another occupant Mridul Das sustained injuries and was shifted to Nazareth Hospital.
E-mail threat  
Silvanus Lamare, Principal, St. Edmund’s College, Shillong lodged a complaint that on April  11, he found one e-mail purportedly sent by one Richard Sharma threatening the College Faculty members with dire consequences.
NGT ban violations
On April 9, one coal truck (AS-19C-6320) was detected transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Rongmil (EGH). In this connection, Police arrested two persons, Dina Nath and Md. Mohidul Islam.
On April 8 at around 11.30 pm, Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-05F-3011) owned by Richard Shylla and driven by Riskhem Shylla transporting coal belonging to one Monica Siangshai, in violation of NGT order at Ladrymbai (EJH).
On April 8  at around 11.30 pm, Police detected one coal laden truck (AS-01-AC-5961) owned by Harrad Than Dutta and driven by Coming Dkhar transporting coal belonging to a woman identified as  P. Dkhar, in violation of NGT order at Ladrymbai (EJH).
On April 8 at around 11.30 pm, Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-04-0411) driven by Mon Swer transporting coal belonging to one Jop Dkhar in violation of NGT order at Ladrymbai (EJH).
On April  8 around 2.30 pm, Police detected one coal laden truck (A/F) owned by Plan Lamo and driven by Bniah Talang transporting coal belonging to one Elias Dkhar, in violation of NGT order at Ladrymbai (EJH).
Kidnap bid foiled
Mohendro Koch lodged a complaint that on April 8 at around 7.30 pm, unidentified miscreants attempted to abduct his daughter at Gandhipara village (SWGH). However, when she raised an alarm, the miscreants fled away. In this connection, Police arrested two persons, Shakti Hajong (20) and a juvenile (17) after they were apprehended and handed over to Police by VDP members of Sadlabari village of Dhubri District, Assam.
Demand note
Sengsimbirth G Momin lodged a complaint that on April 7 at around 9 pm, his wife received an SMS from unknown persons which demanded Rs. 3 lakh and also threatened them with dire consequences.
