Meghalaya Information and Public Relations Minister, A. L. Hek  (R) launches the weekly news bulletin, Megnews published by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations Department on Thursday in the presence of H M Shangpliang, Director, Information and Public Relations. The main purpose of the initiative is to disseminate information about the policies and programmes of the State Government to the general public. The weekly news bulletin will be issued free of cost every Friday. However, the vendors will charge a nominal rate of Rs 2 per copy. (ST)
