Lapang meets cyclone-hit people in Ri Bhoi

SHILLONG:  Chief Adviser to the Meghalaya Government, DD Lapang, who arrived from Delhi on Tuesday, met the elders of the cyclone affected areas of Ri Bhoi district. Many areas under the district were affected by storm and hailstones, Lapang said in a statement issued here on Tuesday said.
Lapang had a discussion with the affected people and also asked Ri Bhoi Deputy Commissioner, Pooja Pandey to take immediate action and provide relief materials to the victims. The former chief minister also called for a meeting on April 27 at Nongpoh for a follow up action on the matter.
