6 NDFB-S utras arrested from Assam

Guwahati: Acting on specific information, a joint team of Army and Assam Police apprehended six hardcore NDFB(S) terrorists from Parbatjhora Reserve Forest (Kokrajhar) on Wednesday.
This major apprehension follows the apprehension of another five NDFB(S) terrorists in Kokrajhar district on Tuesday, according to a defence source.
The terrorists apprehended on Wednesday were identified as Gobla Basumatary alias B Gwnshwar (corporal and section commander of Joyshidi Section of Bishwanath Chairali Platoon of 3rd Battalion of NDFB-s), reg Barmouh alias Daoharo (Section Commander of Bengtol Section of Chirang Platoon), Shamkhar Musahari from Dekhaijuli Platoon of 3rd Battalion NDFB(S), Rahul Khaklary alias Ridung, Babul Narzary alias Kantiswar alias Gajen, Swarang Boro alias Tekeka.
All these six militants were trained in Myanmar was from the 35th Batch of NDFB(S) ultra that went to training in the neighbouring country.
One 12 Bore rifle, four Pistols, five hand grenades and other war like stores were recovered from the terrorists.
On further interrogation with the culprits , it was revealed by the terrorists that they were tasked by NDFB(S) to recruit new cadres from Kokrajhar, Chirang districts, carry out extortion activities and inform about movement of security forces conducting relentless operations against NDFB(S).
