FLO Guwahati elects new chairperson

Guwahati: Joyshree Das Verma on Sunday took over as the new chairperson of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), North East Chapter.
Joyshree Das Verma took over as the new chairperson from Smita Agarwal.
The new office bearers for 2015–2016 are senior vice chairperson Indrani Deb, vice chairperson Prabidita Bharati, secretary Suruchi Agarwal, joint secretary Geetashree Barua, treasurer Sarita Sikaria and joint treasurer Vidhi Agarwal.
The new Chairperson Joyshree Das Verma  said the focus for the year will be along the objectives of FLO and its mission of Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development of women across all levels, beginning at the grassroots.
There would be various programmes and events during the year comprising of seminars, workshops, FLO Bazaar, village adoption, skilling initiatives in specific sectors, besides recognising and honouring successful women from various fields of the North East region, Verma said.
For the first time, the North East Chapter will be hosting the Inter State Meet in December next, she added. (PTI)
