SHILLONG: Aiming to rejuvenate the party at the grass root level, All India Mahila Congress President Shobha Oza will address party leaders and women workers here on Friday. The women functionaries of the State Congress, MPCC president DD Lapang and others will be present during the meeting scheduled at 11 am.
The visit of the Mahila Congress chief assumes significance as the Congress wants to further strengthen the party base in order to thwart the attempt of the BJP to make inroads in Meghalaya.
