Accident

On May 20 around 10.40 am, one Jeep (ML-05K-5090) driven by Mathius Lyngdoh (40) skidded off the road and capsized at Mawlong Mawdiangdiang (EKH). As a result, driver sustained injuries. Matter is under inquiry.
On May 19 around 3.45 pm, one scooty (ML-05J-5465) ridden by Parvesh Rai dashed against an ambulance (ML-05E-1649) driven by Felix Diengdoh at MES, Rilbong, Shillong. As a result, the rider sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong. Matter is under inquiry.

Cheating

One Dilip Kumar Pal lodged a complaint that one Gopal Sarkar cheated him of Rs. 1,54,275 in a business deal at Shillong and fled away.
Subra Negi lodged a complaint that on May 15, GPO Shillong informed him that a parcel containing items valued around Rs. 85,000 has been received in his name. However, on opening the parcel some pamphlets and junk mail-papers were recovered from the parcel.

Woman, son attacked

Saraswati Turha of Nongrim Hills, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on May 19 around 11.30 pm, one Ram Chandra Turha attacked her with a sword. As a result, she and her son sustained injuries.

Pickpocket held

On May 18 around 9 pm, one George Syiem (19) was caught red-handed while he was attempting to pick pocket Billing Kharshiing inside a Tata Sumo vehicle (ML-05F-0167), while they were proceeding from Nongmynsong towards Tynring (EKH).

Theft

On May 16 morning, unknown miscreants stole one cell phone belonging to L.B. Sohtun from her vehicle which was parked at Bomfyle Road, Shillong.
On May 15, unknown miscreants stole fifteen GI pipes from a water reservoir at 5th Mile, Reserve Forest, Upper Shillong.

Assault

Khurshid Ahmed proprietor of Hotel Parvez, GS Road, Iewduh, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on May 15 morning, one Sukhdev Singh assaulted his employee Shyabuddin, manhandled and also threatened the complainant with dire consequences.

Default in loan payment

Barnawel R. Sangma lodged a complaint at Rongjeng PS that on Jan 31, 2015, Md. Nifol Islam borrowed Rs. 2 lakhs from him at Mangsang Nongbak Apal (EGH) with a promise to repay the same at the earliest. However, he failed to repay the money. Matter is under inquiry.
