ISKCON guru interacts with students

SHILLONG:  An interactive session between students and ISKCON Guru Madhav Das was held in Lady Keane Higher Secondary School on Monday. The session was attended by students of class 6 to 10. The ISKON guru preached the importance of spirituality, and he also talked about Chanakya and Chanakya Niti.
He said, “In today’s world people crave for materialistic things but forget the importance of harmony and building a peaceful environment for the betterment of the society. Every person should be kind, not greedy and renounce all worldly pleasures, only than we can make this place a better place to live in.”
Chitra Choudhury, Principal of the school said that this session was much needed as children are the building blocks of a society and the education and morale that a child carries from his home, school, teacher and environment is of utmost importance for the future. Hence, the teaching of the ISKCON guru, to maintain simple living, high thinking was highly appreciated and acknowledged by the Principal and teachers.
