Dengue cases detected in Tura, meeting called

TURA: In view of some cases of Dengue fever being detected in Tura an emergent meeting is being held on Tuesday from 11 am at the District Maternity and Child Hospital Conference Hall in Tura.
Informing this here, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tura Municipal Board (TMB), Z.J. Sangma has requested presidents and secretaries of all development committees under Tura municipal area to attend the meeting which is being held as a step to prevent the further spread of the Dengue outbreak and epidemic within the Tura urban areas.
It may be mentioned that Dengue is a human infection acquired by the bite of an infected Aedes aegypti mosquito which are caused by day bites and epidemics are sustained by human-mosquito-human transmission.
These mosquitoes usually breed in clear water collections in containers, tanks, disposables and junk materials in domestic and peridomestic situations.
