Platinum Jubilee celebration
The valedictory function of the Platinum Jubilee celebration of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts & Guides State Training Centre, Umtyngar, will be held at the State Training Centre, Umtyngar from 11 am onwards on September 26. Governor V. Shanmuganathan will be the chief guest on the occasion.
World Pharmacist Day
The Meghalaya Pharmacy Professional Association (MPPA) will observe the ‘World Pharmacist Day’ at State Resource Centre, Civil Hospital at 10:00 am on Friday. Health Minister A.L. Hek will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Closure notice
The Chief Engineer State Sports Council, Meghalaya has informed that the Tirot Sing Indoor hall at Lower Lachumiere and Gymnasium-cum-Indoor Sports Hall at Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, Polo have been temporarily closed for renovation works in connection with the ensuing South Asian Games.
General meeting
The Meghalaya Ad hoc Secondary Teachers’ Association has informed that the general body meeting and the election of the new office bearers of the Federation of All Meghalaya Ad hoc Secondary Teachers’ Association will be held on September 26 at Assam Kristi Kendra near St Peter’s School, Dhankheti at 11am.
The Khasi Jaintia Higher Secondary Adhoc Teachers Association  will hold its general meeting on  September 26  at St Dominic’s Higher Secondary School, Mawkhar at 10.30 am.
