Guv’s call to Scouts and Guides

Shillong: The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides (MBSG) celebrated the Platinum Jubilee of the State Training Centre at Umtyngar on Saturday at the State Training Centre, Umatyngar.
Meghalaya Governor, V. Shanmuganathan graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He urged the Scouts and Guides to contribute to the overall development of the society, the State and the country as a whole and added that their aspirations should be to bring the country at par with the rest of the world and be an example.
“One must strive for a greater purpose in life, to achieve higher goals”, the Governor added in order to motivate and inspire.
Meghalaya Chief Secretary and President, MBSG, P. B. O. Warjri in his address said that 75 years is a huge milestone for the State Training Centre to achieve He urged the MSGB to continue working and contributing towards achieving the objectives it has set out for and and take it to greater heights.
W. Gasparley Bannett Marwein received the “Impeesa Scouts” Award for his continuous and untiring efforts and dedication towards uplifting the movement of the MBSG.
Chief National Commissioner B.I. Nagrale, National Commissioner H P Chetttri, DEptuy Director, boy programme A Chetrri, President, Meghalaya Stae Scout and Guide Fellowship, G G Pariat, Senior Vice President  MBSG, and Chairman, IRSC, W R  Marbaniang, were the dicnitaries present in the valadiction Programme.
