SHILLONG: The Federation of All Meghalaya Adhoc Secondary Teachers Association (FAMASTA) has expressed shock over the statement of Deputy Chief Minister in charge of Education, R.C.Laloo in the Assembly that there was no plan to add more schools under the deficit pattern.
“The statement has panicked FAMASTA as according to the knowledge of the Association till date Meghalaya has only nine schools which were upgraded to the deficit pattern in the year 2002-2003,” the federation said in a statement issued here on Monday. The federation has demanded the Government to upgrade the remaining Adhoc Secondary Schools to the Deficit pattern.
