Theft
On Oct 5, unknown miscreants broke into the MES Quarter. No. SP/22A of Shiv Shankar Singh at Spread Eagles Falls, Shillong and stole cash Rs. 1,03,000/-.
On Oct 1, one Niewkor Nonglang abducted the daughter of Sumarlin Syiemlieh and snatched her gold earrings valued around Rs. 15,000 and abandoned her at Rhino Point, Shillong.
Assault
On October 6 around 12.10 pm, one Vinod Singh along with Amodh Singh assaulted Santosh Rai (26 years) at Pynthorbah, Block-II, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong.
On October 3, one Kong Bih and five others went to the workshop of Pratima Pyrbot at Laitkor (East Khasi Hills) and snatched her cell phone, assaulted her and demanded money from her employee.
Fraud
On October 7, Shobit Prakash, Aishu Gaurav and Niraj Kumar, students of IIM, Shillong lodged a complaint that Alex Jyrwa, proprietor of M’salon Hostel at Laitumkhrah, Shillong evicted them with a promise to refund their security deposit, but till date he did not return the amount.
