SHILLONG: Around 55 people including women were picked up from different parts of the city for creating nuisance under the influence of liquor.
East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang said that as many as 30 people were arrested on October 21 while 25 were held on October 22.
All of them were produced in court.
Of late the police have been swift to take action against drunkards creating nuisance in the open.
