SHILLONG: The executive committee of the Synjuk Ki Nongsynshar Shnong Ka Bri U Hynniewtrep on Friday expressed unhappiness over the violence which erupted after the protest march on Thursday, saying the incident has tarnished the image of the Synjuk as well as of the indigenous people.
“The sad incident has led to injury to some innocent people who had come with genuine expectations. We hope that such events are not repeated,” the Synjuk said in a statement on here.
However, they thanked the people for extending support to the rally.
KHNAM also voiced their concern over the sudden violence, claiming that it was the inability of the State Government to fulfill the demands of the people.
