SCPCR chairperson calls for shifting of JNV students to new campus

SHILLONG: The Chairperson of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Meena Kharkongor on Monday sent letters to the Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Mawphlang, Deputy Commissioner of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office and to the Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman, East Khasi Hills tom prepare the students to shift to the new campus building within three months.
Kharkongor inspected the JNV campus on November 5 and found that the living conditions there were deplorable. The Principal, Vikraman Nair, meanwhile, claimed that there technical difficulties in shifting the students to the new campus.
